20-minute walk to State Capitol area; or Capital Area Transit (cat) has a regular stop at the Raleigh station, terminating at Moore Square Transit Center on Blount St. (adjacent to Marbles Kids Museum and City Market). There is no cat bus service directly between the Amtrak station and the Capitol. For groups of more than 20, call several days ahead to cat, 919-833-5710. Ask for the Director of Operations.

Regular fare is $2.00 per person each way. For groups larger than 30 to destinations not on Charlotte Transit Routes, please contact one of the charter bus companies listed under Contact Numbers.

Discovery Place science and technology museum features interactive exhibits and dynamic demonstrations on the natural world and physical phenomena. Special films rotate through the IMAX Dome Theatre.
